5th International Scientific Conference "New Technologies and Law, Psychology and Social Sciences"
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Center for European Studies and the Center for American Studies invite you to participate in the 5th International Conference on "New Technologies and Law, Psychology, and Social Sciences".
When?
The conference will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
The length of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the conference to Sunday, June 8, 2025.
What is the conference about?
The main assumption of the conference is to discuss the topic of new technologies in Poland and around the world through the prism of social sciences and humanities, such as law, psychology, political science, sociology, economics, cultural studies, and philosophy.
We will address the topic of new technologies and changes in legal regulations and social attitudes towards a rapidly changing reality. We will also discuss the problems of new technologies, their development paths, and the most important threats.
Proposed (example) thematic areas:
• the impact of new technologies on the human mind
• new technologies and social and intimate relationships
• the need for legislative solutions in the area of information law
• protection against threats to fundamental rights, including the right to privacy and the issue of personal data
• artificial intelligence (AI)
• virtual reality (VR)
• augmented reality (AR)
• challenges of media policy, press and copyright law in the digital market
• new technologies and economic development and the labor market
• fembots, sexbots - postmodern objects of desire in the context of digital humanities
• digital competences and competences of the future and new power elites and life in information capitalism
• law of new technologies
• and many more!
The above thematic areas are only examples - we strongly encourage you to go beyond them. In addition, presentations may be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science.
We believe in the freedom of academic discussion and do not censor presentations for ideological or political reasons. Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.
For whom?
• We cordially invite students and PhD students, experienced researchers, as well as all other people interested in the conference topics to actively participate in the conference.
• Passive participation does not require any scientific qualifications.

Presentations can be presented in the following languages:
